LIGHTNING QUICK
Event-Driven Architecture
The use of event-driven architecture allows us to provide information to traders instantly the information is made available, with traders asymmetrically informed simultaneously without the need for browser refresh. Horus uses the same architecture to warn traders when data is updated during the trade creation process to mitigate against trading on “stale” data.

MODULAR AND FLEXIBLE
Horus has been architected as a modular system, with configuration determining the energy market products and jurisdictions available to each client. Client intellectual property is held in a private and segregated custom client module safeguarding know-how and trade secrets, while also allowing for close integration with core Horus components. Additionally, clients can develop intellectual property separately and interface with Horus by extracting and injecting data through APIs

All trade actions within Horus are treated as new immutable transactions, ensuring there is full history of all transactions for complete auditability. We also can configure mandatory trading team commentary for certain actions, such as trading within a gate closure period. Ease of access to this information is invaluable when responding to current and historical compliance queries.

OPEN TECHNOLOGIES
CLOUD OR ON-PREMISES
Horus has been built as a green-fields project using contemporary open source technologies. We deliberately chose technologies that would allow for cost-effective implementations without the need expensive software licensing costs. Onyx’s preferred configuration is to deploy Horus in a Private AWS cloud to take advantage of resilient infrastructure, however as our technology stack is open, clients can also choose to host Horus locally on client infrastructure.
